The
PM
Motorsports team took the short 3 hour drive up to Castrol Raceway
in Edmonton, Alberta to test their new Tim McAmis built 1968 Camaro.
The team did not make a full pass during the weekend but did run a
6.30 @ 208 mph on their last run of the weekend on an aborted run
after 1000 ft. "This car is like a Cadillac compared to the
truck and the viper" said Joe Delehay, "We are excited to
make a full pass on the car on our next testing outing next
year".

PM
Motorsports took delivery of their new Tim McAmis built 1968 Camaro
this week. The Car will be powered with a 526 cubic inch BAE blown
Hemi, and will be run in the 2007 West Coast Pro Mod Association
Schedule, as well as select IHRA races.
"We
are so excited to get this car on a track" said driver Joe
Delehay, "This car is one bad ass machine, the paint on this
car is just too cool"
The
PM Motorsports team looks to test the car as soon as possible.
"This
car should run a 6.0 second run with good conditions" said Crew
Chief Ken Eisler, "We want to defend our championship next year
as well as test the waters in the IHRA"
This
is Joe's first new car as he drove a 1972 Chevy Pick Up Truck for
all of his racing career until last season when Joe purchased a 2001
Dodge Viper from Kirk Kuhns to drive until the new Camaro was
finished. "That car was a great car" said Joe, "Some
said it would run fast on a gravel road". Fast it definitely
was as the team got the high MPH of every WCPMA event last season as
well as getting their first WCPMA win at their home town of Calgary,
Alberta and they were crowned the 2006 West Coast Pro Modified
Champion. "Last year we reached out goal of winning the WCPMA
Championship" said Joe, "This year we want to defend our
championship and we want to run a low teen pass or a 6.0 second
pass".
