Delehay takes the WCPMA Championship!
In what was an amazing weekend, Joe Delehay won the 2009 WCPMA
Championship in Denver after setting the track records, lending a
motor to competitor and at the time number 1 in points Tommy
Johanns, and finishing the event in the semi finals after an air
line broke on the transmission. Delehay and team were against the
odds and managed to come out on top with the 2009 WCPMA
Championship!
Delehay and team have also made WCPMA history by becoming the first
ever 3 time WCPMA champion!

WCPMA Championship is within Delehay's Reach
Currently sitting in 2nd place, Delehay and his PM Motorsports team
are only 12 points behind 1st place Tommy Johanns with one race left
on the West Coast Pro Mod Association 2009 Schedule this weekend at
Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colorado.
"The championship is within reaching distance" said Delehay. "The
past two Championships we won were decided at the final race of the
season", "We're hoping we can continue the process and take the
championship this weekend".
Delehay and his team are coming off of a huge win in Spokane, Wa
after qualifying number one, getting the event top mph/et, and
winning the race. "We feel confident and prepared that we have what
it takes to give Johanns a run for his money" said Delehay.
If the PM Motorsports team are able to reach their goal and win the
2009 West Coast Pro Modified Championship, they would become the
only team in WCPMA history to win the championship more than twice.
"We've been a very dominant team for the past couple seasons" said
Joe Delehay, "I know Johanns would love to win the champinoship at
his home track" Delehay said, "We're going to give Johanns
everything we have for this final race of the season".
Delehay and team may of never raced in Denver before, a track with
an altitude at over 5,000 feet the air is a lot thinner than the
team is used to, but they are confident that they'll have the car to
beat this weekend. "We've had close to similar conditions one year
in Salt Lake City" said crew chief Ken Eisler, "That race we were
running low 6.30's".
If your in the Colorado area make sure to stop by Bandimere Speedway
to watch the excitement as the West Coast Pro Mod Championship will
be decided!
