Delehay has problems in Eliminations
After a promising qualifying session placing Joe Delehay and his Tim
McAmis built 1968 Camaro in the number 4 position with a 6.24 @ 228
mph, Delehay and his PM Motorsports team entered eliminations with
high expectations.
In the first round of eliminations Delehay was paired against Perry
Thyr. After experiencing electrical problems all weekend Delehay and
team thought the figured out their issues and defeated Thyr with a
6.35 @ 223 mph to Thyr's aborted tire shaking pass.
Unfortunately for Delehay engine problems forced him to withdrawal
from competition and give Rick DiStefano a single in the second
round.
"In the first round the started broke off the car going through the
finish line" said Delehay, "Luckily it didn't go under a tire and
cause worse damage".
Although disappointed with their finish Delehay and team have a
three week break to get the car ready for their next stop in the
West Coast Pro Mod series in Spokane, Washington.
