After three qualifying runs Delehay finished qualifying in the third
position after a very tricky day in Edmonton.
"We came to Edmonton with expectations of running six teens" said
Delehay, "The track this weekend is not in very good shape", "This
entire season we have aborted two, maybe three runs" Delehay said,
"This weekend we have six aborted runs including our three testing
passes on Friday".
Sunday eliminations will be a battle of driver skill as the track in
Edmonton will not handle a high horsepower Pro Mod.
Check back Sunday night for elimination results and final qualifying
numbers.

Eliminations
If the
first round of eliminations Delehay was paired against 1st
alternative Wayne Hofer after Lee Frank found chassis problems and
could not compete in competition. Delehay ran an event top mph and
low et of event 6.385 @ 227.38 mph to Hofer's tire shaking 9.198 @
92 mph. Unfortunately for Delehay and team Delehay's reaction time
was a -.031 to Hofer's .069 giving the win to Hofer.
"It's disappointing" said Delehay, "We worked hard all weekend and
finally found a way down the track, only to lose by a red light".
Delehay and
team wont let the lose get to them as they are already home getting
the car prepared for our next event in Mission, BC.

Delehay set for return to Edmonton
Currently sitting third in the West Coast Pro Mod Association
Championship points standings, Joe Delehay and his PM Motorsports
team are ready for their return to Castrol Raceway in Edmonton,
Alberta this weekend as they venture three hours north from their
home town of Calgary, Alberta for the half way point in the WCPMA
2009 series.
The last time the PM Motorsports team brought their Tim McAmis built
1968 Pro Mod Camaro to Edmonton was at last years IHRA Rocky
Mountain Nationals, where Delehay and team came home with a
Semi-Final finish. "We are excited to come back to Edmonton" said
Delehay, "We are sitting in the number one spot if everything goes
our way".
Delehay and team have had the fastest car in the West Coast Pro Mod
series this season, taking the "Pit Mat USA" Top MPH of the event at
every race this season. "Our team has worked very hard at every
race" said Delehay.
The PM Motorsports team consists of Driver Joe Delehay, Crew Chief
Ken "The Wiz" Eisler, Engine Specialist Jason Delehay, Clutch Expert
Kyle "Jet Boy" Barg, and Maintenance/Chef Eddie Chabot. "We have had
the same group of guys helping out for the past four years" said
Joe, "This is our Championship winning team so you know they'll be
working hard and our qualifying results so far indicate that".
Delehay and team have been the number one qualifier at every race
except for one where they qualified number two.
