May 16-17

Spokane, Washington

After qualifying number 1 on Saturday in Spokane, WA. Delehay and his PM Motorsports team were paired with the number 8 qualifier in the 8 car West Coast Pro Mod field. Little did they expect, Delehay fouled out automatically giving the win to their opponent Lee Frank.

A combination of waiting over two minuets for their opponent to stage their car, and a very unusually long wait for the timing system to start once bothe cars were staged, caused the clutch to overheat in return causing the air gap setting to go away enough to allow the car to creep through the staging beams causing a foul. "It's very disappointing to lose in the first round after having such a bad hot rod all weekend" said Delehay.

Delehay and team were awarded the "GRP Connecting Rods" #1 qualifier award, as well as the "Pit Mat USA" Top Speed of the Event award. "This Tim McAmis race car is such and amazing car" said Joe, "It's so consistent we could run brakets with it!".

PM Motorsports would also like to thank the track crew in Spokane. "The brand new 1/8 mile concrete surface was awesome!" said joe, "We are very excited to come back and race here in August".

After a semi-final finish in Tucson, Arizona at the opening event for the 2009 West Coast Pro Mod Association's schedule, Joe Delehay and his PM Motorsports Inc. team are ready for the second event on the schedule in Spokane, Washington.

"They just finished redoing the track" said Delehay, "With nice smooth concrete to the eighth mile marker it should be a stellar field".

With 18 cars expected to attend this event it should be one of the most competitive eight car fields this season for the West Coast Pro Mod series. "We knew it would be a very quick field" crew chief Ken "The Wiz" Eisler said, "We've put in a new motor set up that should make more power". After setting the NHRA AA/PM Pro Modified record in Phoenix, Arizona at the beginning of the season during testing more power can only mean better things for the Tim McAmis built 1968 Pro Mod Camaro.

The PM Motorsports team are currently sitting in the number three position in the West Coast Pro Mod Championship Points, only 41 points behind Dennis Radford who is currently in the number one position. "It's early in the season but every point counts" said Delehay.

If your in the Spokane area, stop by Spokane County Raceway (www.http://spokanecountyraceway.com) this Saturday and Sunday (May 16-17) for what should be one of the most copetitive 8 car fields for the 2009 season!
