The EATON presented “Fast and
Furious on the Fraser” was a weekend full of excitement as the
fans in attendance saw amazing performances from the West Coast
teams as some teams ran career personal bests which was a must to be
competitive at the sea level track in Mission, BC.

With Carl Spiering and Glen
Kerunsky making their first appearance of the 2007 season and Danny
Rowe making the stop between IHRA races the final qualifying
standings were impressive with Kerunsky in the #1 spot with an
amazing 6.09 @ 233 mph and Rod Pearce on the bump spot who was
working out the bugs in his new Nitrous ’63 Corvette.

mph in qualifying defeated Dan Vogt (RT:.736 7.036 @ 205.94
mph), Joe Delehay (
RT:.511 6.190 @ 232.91 mph) had his career best run as he defeated
Tom Meheden ( RT:.490 8.253), Danny

@ 80.31 mph) had a close call as he defeated the red lighting

Spiering (RT:.455 6.064 @ 236.09 mph) shocked everyone with low et
and top mph of the event as he defeated Howie Stephens

Kuhns (RT:.604 6.254 @ 234.13 mph) defeated Rod Pearce
(RT:.688 8.291 @ 141.08 mph) who was having troubles all weekend
with his new car, and Tim
Vogt (RT:.590 6.351 @ 222.05 mph) almost ran the quickest
nitrous et in West Coast Pro Mod history as he defeated Jeff Hill
(RT:.524 12.604 @ 71.74 mph)

The second round of
eliminations saw the consistent Glen
Kerunsky (RT:.563 6.151 @ 232.61 mph) defeated Gary Mason
(RT:.-.350 6.597 @ 235.78 mph), Trevor
Lowe (RT:.422 6.213 @ 231.60 mph) defeated Joe Delehay
(RT:.481 8.413 @ 111.48 mph) who experienced extreme tire shake at
the top of first gear that sent the car close to the wall causing
Joe to shut it off early, Danny
Rowe (RT:.514 16.791
@ 63.29 mph) defeated Carl Spiering who had sever parts
breakage in the previous round, Kirk
Kuhns (RT:.484 6.271 @ 234.25 mph) defeated the last nitrous
car left in competition Tim Vogt ( RT:.611 6.368 @ 222.38 mph)

The all blower
semi-finals had Glen
Kerunsky (RT:.439 6.143 @ 231.48 mph) defeat Trevor Lowe (
RT:.408 6.242 @ 229.70 mph), and Kirk
Kuhns (RT:.600 6.261 @ 233.34 mph) defeated Danny Rowe as
Rowe was leaking oil after the burnout.
The final round of eliminations in the EATON
presented “Fast and Furious on the Fraser” saw Glen
Kerunsky in a single for the finals as Kirk Kuhns had engine damage
from the last round. Kerunsky still amazed the crowd as he ripped
another consistent pass of 6.159 @ 230 mph.
After
a very successful weekend a lot of the WCPMA teams are heading to
Castrol Raceway for the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals in Edmonton,
Alberta. And the West Coast Pro Mod teams are also getting ready for
the next WCPMA event July 21 – 22 at Race City Motorsports
Park in Calgary, Alberta.
The
